Bespoke software
A system that fits the way your business already works.
We build web applications for businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and paper. They open in a browser or install on a phone, and they connect to what you already use.
cat how-work-moves.txt
One system, from the first enquiry to the invoice.
An illustration. Each business’s line is different, which is why we build it around yours.
What we build
Any job that’s mostly copying or chasing is worth a look.
Job boards and sales orders
A won quote becomes an order and a job. Everyone sees what’s due and how far along it is, down to the TV on the workshop wall.
Field and inspection apps
People write reports on a phone on site, even with no signal, and they’re filed without a second trip to a desk.
Dashboards that tell you what to do
We pull your figures from where they already live and put what needs attention at the top.
Client and site records
Clients, sites, contacts, documents and renewals all sit in one place, so they don’t get lost in an inbox.
Connections between systems
We get Xero, Microsoft 365 and your other tools passing information along, so nobody retypes it. AI can read the incoming emails too.
Moving on from Sage
We’ve moved a client from Sage to Xero with their accountant. Xero’s connections then let us build around it without touching the accounts.
What you can count on
How we build, so you stay in control.
- Your data stays in your accounts.MSA’s lives in their own Microsoft 365. Clarke Lane’s is in a database account of their own.
- No new passwords.People can sign in with the Microsoft account they already use.
- People see what they should. On Clarke Lane’s board the shop floor doesn’t see prices, and business totals stay with the directors.
- Your accountant stays in charge. We send Xero drafts. A person approves them, and we don’t change how your accounts are set up.
- Works on a phone.Your team can install it like an app, on the site or on the workshop tablet.
- It gets looked after. We keep improving it after launch, and we’re the same people who look after your IT.
How it goes
We build in small steps with the people who’ll use it.
Clarke Lane’s board went from first mock-up to a full practice order, from drawing to draft invoice, in five days. Not every system is that quick, but we like to get something real in front of people early.
- A chat about where the time goesWe’ll say if it isn’t worth building.
- A mock-up you can clickWe agree it with you before any real work starts.
- A fixed quote for the first versionEvery system is different, so we quote each one.
- In use, then improvedChanges come from the people using it.
Got a part of the week that’s all copying and chasing?
That’s usually where to start. Tell us about it and we’ll tell you what we’d do.
