Our work / Onsite Commercials

Every call-out logged, paid and checked.

Onsite keeps commercial vehicles on the road from two workshops in Southampton, and their technicians go out through the night. We built the hub that follows each call-out from the phone to the pay run.

The problem

A call-out at 2am has a long way to travel.

The technician has to record it, the office has to match it to a job number, it has to land in the right month’s pay, and the customer has to be billed. A gap anywhere costs money, in someone’s wages or in work that never gets invoiced.

What we built

One place, from the phone to the pay run.

Jobs on the technician’s phone

The office books a job and it appears on the phone, with the location and description, ready to start as a call-out.

Last night, at a glance

Each morning the office sees the call-outs logged, the hours to pay, what’s waiting on a job number and who was out.

Standby rota

It shows who’s on standby each night across both sites. Drag across days to give them to someone else.

Month end that locks

It lists each person’s extras and anything holding them up. Managers approve, the month is locked, and it’s ready for the pay run.

Paid for, not billed

Paid call-outs are checked against the invoice exports, so you can see what hasn’t been invoiced yet, and why.

The rest of the day

It also handles holiday requests and announcements, and shows emails to the site mailboxes that have gone 24 hours with no reply.

What it’s for

People get paid properly and work gets billed properly.

It’s there so technicians are paid for what they did, the office doesn’t have to piece the night back together, and work that was done gets invoiced.

The details that mattered

  • Technicians sign in on their phones with a code.
  • Each person sees what’s theirs to do.
  • One person locks the month, once the managers have approved it.
